About PriceDrop

PriceDrop started with a simple, annoying problem: you buy something online, and a week later you spot it cheaper. Or worse — a store slaps a "50% OFF" sticker on a price they quietly raised the day before. Online prices move constantly, and shoppers are expected to just guess.

We built PriceDrop so you don't have to guess. Paste a product link and we watch the price for you around the clock, keep a record of where it has actually been, and email you the moment it genuinely drops — or hits the target price you set.

Built on our own algorithms

Unlike browser plug-ins that only watch a handful of stores, PriceDrop runs its own custom-built tracking engine — combining DOM-level scrapers for retailers with direct API integrations for travel and subscription services. One categorizer reads any link you paste, routes it to the right engine, and normalizes the result, so a single platform can watch products, flights, hotels and subscriptions side by side. Our deal-scoring algorithm then weighs each price against its real history to tell a genuine drop from a fake "was/now" sticker.

What makes a "real" deal

A discount only matters compared to the real history. That's why every product you track gets a price-history chart. If today's price is near the bottom of that chart, it's a genuinely good time to buy. If a "sale" price is the same as last month's normal price, you'll see right through it.
